CloverHR is here

The first public release of CloverHR: HR software for small and mid-sized teams in the United States and Canada, deployable free on StackBlaze in one click. It is published by StackBlaze Inc. under the Business Source License 1.1.

Getting started

  • One-click deploy on StackBlaze, with Postgres, a disk for uploads, email and a generated encryption key.
  • A setup wizard on the first visit creates your company and your account, with optional two-step sign-in.
  • A Docker image for any server with Postgres 16, and a help center inside the app in English and French.

People

  • Profiles with dated job, status and pay history, corrections with a reason, and temporary pay rates.
  • Salary, hourly and commission-only pay; weekly to yearly pay frequencies.
  • Custom fields, tabs, tables and calculated fields; company lists for degrees and pay change reasons.
  • Birthdays colleagues may see as a month and day, with a choice to keep it private.
  • Import from a spreadsheet, ending employment, rehiring, and legal entities in both countries.

Time

  • Time off policies with accruals, carry-over, caps and minimums, and requests HR may record as approved or denied at once.
  • Holiday lists for every state and province, aimed at locations, departments, divisions, job titles, statuses or people.
  • Timesheets, kiosks, overtime and double time by state and province, shift differentials, and pay rates per person on a project.
  • Scheduling with open shifts and swaps, and meal and rest break rules with premiums.

  • Access levels with a right on every field, approvals in up to three steps, and preview as another person.
  • Two-step sign-in, passkeys, and single sign-on with OpenID Connect or SAML.
